In April 2008 members of the Home Office Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime Prevention Unit  toured Blurton to see the work being carried out by local agencies who are working together to improve the quality of life for the people living in the area. Those taking part in the tour and presentation included RENEW North Staffordshire staff, local police officers and Aspire Housing staff along with representatives from voluntary and community organisations.
