City Waterside demonstrates how RENEW North Staffordshire is working with partners and the local community to transform a previously run-down area into a thriving community of new and old homes. The developed land is on the former Johnson Brothers' pottery site, alongside the Caldon Canal in Hanley.  The terraced houses in the background are being demolished to make way for modern properties.
