Joiners Square (Jan 09)

The interior of Joiners Square Primary School, Hanley (January 2009)

A picture of the interior of Joiners Square Primary School in Hanley which falls under RENEW North Staffordshire's City Waterside project area. This image was taken in January 2009. Officials are now looking at a number of options for the future of the former school building. This picture was taken by former pupil Tiffany Cartlidge, aged 31, (whose maiden name was Lunn). She received permission from the city council to take pictures of her former school, which may be demolished as part of regeneration work, and published them on her Facebook page.

I will be glad to go. It’s not a nice place to live... There’s no community left here any more.

I want to see the residents of this area having a voice and RENEW to take account of their views.
