City Waterside residents took on RENEW staff at cricket in August 2009

Residents hit regeneration officers for six in a celebratory cricket match.
Officials from RENEW North Staffordshire took on residents and business people from the City Waterside regeneration zone in a game of Twenty20 cricket at Meakins Cricket Club, in Hanley, in August 2009. The residents and business people ran out easy winners. Pictured from left are Graham Copestake from Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Geoff Davies from the CAB and Phil Dawson, also from the city council, before play commenced.

I will be glad to go. It’s not a nice place to live... There’s no community left here any more.

It looks absolutely brilliant, as good as a new house! It makes me feel proud to live here.
