Unity House (March 2006)

Demolition of Unity House in Hanley, 2006
Region: Hanley

The demolition of Unity House in Hanley. It was built in 1973 and used by Stoke-on-Trent City Council staff. It was demolished in March 2006 as part of the regeneration of the city centre by RENEW North Staffordshire and its partners. This view is taken from Old Hall Street in Hanley centre.

I will be glad to go. It’s not a nice place to live... There’s no community left here any more.

It looks absolutely brilliant, as good as a new house! It makes me feel proud to live here.
