Knutton security (July 05)

Knutton resident Chris Jamieson and his new security lighting in July 05
Region: Knutton

Knutton resident Chris Jamieson inspects his new security light in July 2005.
More than 200 homes in Cotswold Avenue were fitted with lights at the front and back to combat families’ fears that dark streets can be a magnet for crime. The lighting work was part of an investment of more than £100,000 in the area by RENEW North Staffordshire. Both Aspire Housing properties and privately-owned homes benefitted.

It looks absolutely brilliant, as good as a new house! It makes me feel proud to live here.

I will be glad to go. It’s not a nice place to live... There’s no community left here any more.
