The bowling green behind the Kings Arms public house in Meir, in September 2008. A pub stood on this site from at least the early 19th century. This building was rebuilt in 1935 by Horace Pool to the design of John S. Redman. The pub was demolished in early 2009. RENEW North Staffordshire is regenerating the area to provide improved housing.
