A former drug-den pub on a housing estate being knocked down as part of a £5.5 million regeneration scheme. Families had been campaigning to have the Thorley pub in Meir knocked down for years. RENEW North Staffordshire bought the derelict building from Punch Taverns. Resident Fred Rushton as the bulldozers move in
