Rose Peacock, chairman of Middleport Residents' Association, pictured in 2005. Mrs Peacock, who lived in the area for more than 40 years, was a former city councillor who fought hard to represent the interests of families living in the regeneration zone. A former Johnson Matthey employee, she died in January 2009.
